Expanded Polyethylene

Expanded polyethylene packaging protective material with good soundproofing and heat insulation properties, flexible and resistant to aggressive materials.

Product Characteristics

Expanded polyethylene is a good sound insulator, has thermal insulation properties comparable to those of expanded polystyrene, and is easy to work with, as it comes in a variety of thicknesses and is far more elastic than other thermal insulation materials. The operating temperature range of expanded polyethylene foil is from -60 to +80°C. It is designed for use as insulation under wooden and laminate floors, insulation of air ducts, liquid pipelines, wall and ceiling insulation, as well as for packaging furniture, ceramic products, glassware, and others.

Properties

  • Excellent thermal insulation with a thermal conductivity coefficient of λ=0.038
  • excellent vapor barrier
  • very good sound insulation
  • easy installation
  • long life (80-100 years) while retaining its physical and chemical properties; the material does not rot, does not mold, and is resistant to oil and gasoline
